Description
Crotalaria anagyroides is a shurb with can growt approx 2-3 m, and perennial plant with stems that become more or less woody. The distribution is in tropical area and the biggest distribution is in South Africa. Crotalaria anagyroides have yellow colored flower and like other fabaceae, the flower have papilionaceae type and bilateral.
The chemical subtance is more appealing than the morphology, because Crotalaria anagyroides have  pirolizidin that anti-mitotic effect on liver cell (Peterson, 1965). The Pirolizidin have other derivate compound such senesionin that also have anti-mitotic effect to body cell and tumor cell (Culvenor, 1968). Because the chemical subtance, this plant widely use in biological research.
In indonesia this plant called orok-orok, and common use as forage or bio-fertilizer. Crotalaria anagyroides have environtmental value as nitrogen fixing agent and can improve the soil. In America It is widely grown as an ornamental, and is also cultivated as a green manure crop.
